Dividend Income - September 2015

September was an amazing month for me.
Another record is broken! The power of compounding is starting to show off.

Dividend income

CVX $10.70
TGT $15.68
JNJ $12.00
AFL $7.41
MCD $9.35
QCOM $6.24
TROW $6.24

Total September: $67.62 (pre tax)

Comparison with last year (gross)
September 2014: $13.08
September 2015: $67.62

This is a 517% increase!
Let's see if we are able to maintain that percentage in 2016.. ;-)

In order to achieve the annual $300 of net dividends, I should have received $225 by now.
The total net dividends of 2015 are currently at $268.05, so we are ahead of our goal. Looks like I could set a goal for >$100 in one month, somewhere in 2016. That would be a very appealing milestone to look forward to!

How was your September?
Thanks for reading!

  1. Great! Happy for you. My month was good too, if only I would sell my house like I was hoping I could have put in fresh capital!

    1. Hey Mike,

      Thanks for your visit!
In The Netherlands we see an increase in the number of sold houses at the moment. Hope you will sell it soon. This should boost your passive income by a lot!

      Best wishes, DfS

  2. Congrats on the dividends! 517% increase in a year?! Wow...good stuff.

    1. Hey R2R,

Yea, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to reach that number ever again when comparing year over year results.

It has to do with my broker. In 2014 they paid the dividends at the declaration date, instead of the payment date. Due to this fact, August & November were my big months last year, instead of September & December.

      Thanks for your comment!
      Best wishes, DfS

  3. DFS. Good stuff. You're doing wonderful. Keep it up and before you know it, 100 a month for sure! Easy peasy. Keep hustling it up and keep up the focus. We're here with you on the journey! Cheers bud.

    1. Hi Dividend Hustler,

Thanks for taking the time to comment! It's much appreciated.
Hope you are right. It's not easy peasy when funds are limited :-)
But I will do my best to hustle it in the best possible way!

      Have a nice day.

  4. What a huge jump. Keep adding fresh capital to those solid dividend stocks and continue to be amazed at all the magic of compounding. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hey DivHut,

      Thanks for being here!
We'll see how this story ends. It's pretty good up until now.

      Best wishes, DfS
