Picking stocks

Fortunately there are some good resources available to determine what stocks are worth your money.
A very good start is the list of US Dividend Champions.This list contains all companies that has increased their Dividend payout for 25 consecutive years.

However this list contains an overwhelming amount of data.
I have selected a few criteria to narrow this list down.

• Understand what business they are in
• Don't buy at a 1y high price
• Keep my portfolio diversified from the start - that's easier than fixing things later
• Focus on dividend growth rather than high yielding dividend percentages

For now I'd like to start with investing in premium low risk companies.
